Facebook can send you notifications by means of e-mail or text for nearly every possible interaction on its site.   • If you aren't currently logged into Facebook, enter your e-mail address (or telephone number) and password and tap Log In.


2. Tap the globe icon. It's at the bottom of the screen and to the left of the ☰ icon. Doing so will open your recent notifications.

3. Swipe left on a notice. Doing so will bring up the Hide choice to the right of the notice.

4. Tap Conceal. Doing this will get rid of the alert from your Facebook activity log; you'll no longer see it when you tap the globe icon.
You can repeat this process for each notification you want to clear.

On Desktop.


1. Open the Facebook website. If you're logged into Facebook, doing so will open your News Feed.

  • If you aren't logged into Facebook, enter your e-mail address (or contact number) into the leading right corner of the screen and click Log In.


2. Click the alerts world. It remains in the leading ideal side of the screen. Doing so will open a drop-down menu of your current Facebook notification.

3. Hover your cursor over an alert. You need to see a "..." icon and a little circle appear on the ideal side of the notification's box.

  • For example, if you want to remove a notification about a buddy liking your status, you 'd position the mouse cursor over" [Name] likes your post: [Post]".


4. Click the "..." button. You'll see this in the leading right corner of the private notice's box.

5. Click Hide this notification. It's on the best side of the screen. Doing so will immediately remove the notification from the globe icon menu and avoid it from appearing once again when you open the Recent Notifications menu later.
